In setting goals and making decisions, we need to prioritize achieving wealth, fame, pleasure, or influencing people for Christ? We can have the overall goal of reaching others for Heaven regardless of what our actual occupation in life may be. Some may be full time Christian workers, but all should be full- time Christians. Eternity will last much longer than the brief years of this life, so let us wisely invest in tomorrow. Remember everything we accumulate here on earth will be left behind. Only what is done for Christ and invested for eternity will last. We are instructed, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).
Life is preparation for Eternity. Puzzle lovers know that it is important to have a picture of the finished product, otherwise it is hard to make sense of the loose pieces and where they are to be placed. God is working in our lives unique pictures. The results of the finished products are reflected in the Bible for us to visualize. Each piece, each situation, needs to be examined to see how and where it fits. “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him” (James 1:5).
How much fruit will we have to offer God from our lives?
