Gloria Goering loves Jesus. Her heart is after the heart of God. Her passion is sharing His love with as many people as opportunity affords. I am excited about Gloria’s writing this book. I know that God’s hand has been on her life and He will use these accounts for His glory.
From the campus ministry, I have learned that there are people uniquely qualified by God to experience subjectively His hand in their lives; others, equally qualified, have had to obtain evidence objectively to answer their questions and understand God. Though I am of the latter, Gloria is of the former. She came to work with us in Campus Bible Fellowship, just as we were getting started. We learned together. I watched many times as God worked experientially with Gloria, in an amazing fashion, reaching young intellectuals for Him. I have been watching Gloria all of her life. She came to know the Lord as her Savior shortly after I did; we grew in the knowledge and love of the Lord together.
After high school, Gloria attended Omaha Baptist Bible College. After graduation, she was commissioned as a missionary to college students and served with Hal Miller, director of Campus Bible Fellowship under Baptist Mid-Missions in Iowa. Later, Gloria married Pastor James Goering, and helped him in the ministry of the radio/television program Family Altar Broadcast, as well as several churches. Gloria and James have four children, all of whom know, love, and serve the Lord as their Savior.
